Where are you located in NZ, if I might ask? Anywhere is good, of course!

We have not made it back down yet – however, it is in the works. Since we’ve been, we have some ideas for new places we want to go when we return.

The old “hindsight is 20:20 thing” applies to vacations too.

Of course, if I have my druthers, our next trip will be one where we settle for good.

Wow, it sounds like your last 6 weeks was pretty hectic, but fun too.

Yes, we were very lucky to visit NZ in August of 2007, and it was amazing. We want to go back so very badly, and we will. It’s in the works right now… we need to see the green hills once again, smell the sulphur at Rotorua, and then head south (we didn’t get to South Island last time).

(I’d actually like to move there permanently, but that’s another story.)

My wife has been to Australia as well (before she met me!) as she has family there. So you know we’ll be going to your country at some point, too.

The last 6 weeks here have been hectic. Farewells, engagements, dinners, lunches. Bushwalking in the Ku-Ring-Gai Chase National Park (Sydney, Australia), Bondi Beach Sculpture by the Sea, house hunting, and trying so desperately to keep up with my 6 year old’s hectic extra-curricular schedule.

Noted that you were planning a trip to NZ – ever been before? I grew up here in Australia but the Kiwis are like the cousins you pretend to hate even though they’re all top blokes and birds. Can’t wait to hear about your plans for it!
